How to Delete Your Data
SocialStitch respects your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your data through several methods outlined below.
What data do we store?
- Facebook Page connection information (Page ID, Page name, access tokens)
- Instagram Business account connection information
- Images you've uploaded and AI-generated mockups
- Scheduled and published posts
- App preferences and settings
Option 1: Uninstall the App (Recommended)
The easiest way to delete all your data is to uninstall SocialStitch from your Shopify store:
1Go to your Shopify Admin
Navigate to your Shopify admin panel at https://your-store.myshopify.com/admin
2Navigate to Apps
Click on "Apps" in the left sidebar
3Uninstall SocialStitch
Find SocialStitch, click the menu icon (⋮), and select "Uninstall"
Automatic Data Deletion: When you uninstall the app, all your data will be automatically deleted within 48 hours, including:
- Connected social media accounts
- All stored images and mockups
- Scheduled posts
- App settings and preferences
Option 2: Disconnect Social Accounts
To disconnect your Facebook or Instagram accounts without uninstalling the app:
- Open SocialStitch from your Shopify admin
- Go to Settings
- Find the "Connected Accounts" section
- Click "Disconnect" next to each account you want to remove
This will delete the connection and all associated access tokens.
Option 3: Delete from Facebook
You can also remove SocialStitch's access from your Facebook account directly:
- Go to Facebook Business Integrations Settings
- Find "SocialStitch" in the list of apps
- Click "Remove" to revoke our access
When you remove our app from Facebook, Meta will notify us and we will delete all data associated with your Facebook account within 30 days.
Option 4: Email Request
If you prefer, you can request data deletion by email:
Send a deletion request to:
Please include:
- Your Shopify store domain (e.g., mystore.myshopify.com)
- Email address associated with your store
- Specific data you want deleted (or "all data")
We will process your request within 30 days and send confirmation when complete.
Data Deletion Confirmation
After your data is deleted, you will receive:
- Email confirmation of deletion
- A confirmation code for your records
Please note that we may retain certain anonymized, aggregated data for analytical purposes that cannot be used to identify you.
Meta Data Deletion Callback
If you delete your data through Facebook/Meta, they will automatically notify us via our data deletion callback. We will then:
- Receive the deletion notification from Meta
- Delete all data associated with your Facebook/Instagram accounts
- Confirm deletion within 30 days
